Contemporary Practices in Early Intervention
Welcome to Contemporary Practices in Early Intervention for Children Birth to Five!
Contemporary Practices in Early Intervention for Children Birth through Five (CPEI) consists of a series of training modules and provider resources designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of early intervention and early childhood service providers from the education, health care, therapeutic, and social service fields. CPEI meets the critical need for training early intervention and early childhood service providers in comprehensive, evidence-based early childhood intervention practices.
The curriculum is designed for use in a variety of settings. Curriculum content is presented in a series of separate and distinct modules, each focusing on a specific topic. Each module is augmented with supplementary materials and resources including a downloadable workbook for recording information and responses to questions and activities. The curriculum is designed to be used as:
- a self-directed study activity
- an instructor facilitated program or
- a component of an integrated program of study
The Georgetown University Certificate in Early Intervention incorporates the modules into a comprehensive integrated program created for early intervention interdisciplinary team members.
