About This Course

This short course on Community Management was designed to help teaching assistants for MOOCs understand their role as moderators in an online learning community.

This is a 2-3 hour module, which covers topics such as:

  • What an online community is
  • Why it is important to strengthen the learning community
  • Navigating and organising forums on EdX
  • Guidelines for moderating in practice

There are no graded assignments in this course, but there are tasks to help you apply your knowledge of working as a community manager.
