About This Course
This course provides a foundation to creating an accessible course so all enrolled learners have equal access to your content. By engaging in these course materials, you'll have the opportunity to acquire the following skills:
- Add content to edX without "inline styling" which often prevents consistent layout or the ability to zoom text
- Include "headings" in your content to improve layout, organization and semantic structure
- Utilize numbered and bulleted lists to add identifiable subsections
- Provide alternative text that allows the content and function of images to be read to those with visual or cognitive disabilities
- Create self-describing links contextualizing the destination of the hyperlinked text
- Use color strategically
- Create accessible data tables
